When the owner of one of Eagle Rock’s signature brick buildings hired Lady of Record to secure a tenant for their property, you can imagine how excited we were to receive a call from two, local founders who had teamed up & were interested in opening their businesses in the space, together - a creative financial model given Los Angeles’ premium pricing & scarcity of available, quality options.
After navigating a competitive, multiple offer process, Tashina Hunter, founder of Miss Tashina and Keiko Brodeur, founder of Small Adventure secured the 2,200 square foot space & got to work renovating the 1922 architectural gem, making it their own.
Situated near the prime intersection of Eagle Rock & Colorado Blvds, Tashina & Keiko have leaned into the location’s visibility & created an inviting, collaborative retail & studio environment. Now open & successfully doing business in the neighborhood, they’re proving local businesses are a necessary part of every community.
